Please open the book for me.

A world is waiting for me.

I want to travel far away.

To places I can’t even say.

I might step into the woods.

Trees tall as houses with hoods.

The grass is soft and green like spun cotton.

The hooting owls leave me besotten.

I might enter a dark castle.

Filled with trapdoors and spider webs.

Dungeons waiting in the basement.

Ghostly figures wandering by.

I would eagerly go on a quest.

As far as China or the high seas.

Once I open a book to read,

An adventure is waiting for me.
