Take me away to better days,

To where the sun casts its bright rays.

Let the breeze ruffle through the leaves.

Better days for me, pretty please.

Time is ticking away.
I fear I cannot stay.
Goodbyes must be fast,
And soon in the past.
My train is on the track.
I didn’t have time to pack.
So sad to leave today,
But what is there to say?
Goodbye my dear for now 
As I take my last bow.

BEACON OF LIGHT

Take me out of this forest,

Out of this tangled mess.

Away from my demons,

Who haunt me at night.

I can see the light ahead,

A beacon of light shining bright.

A view of sand and ocean,

And better times ahead.
