THE DEAD POOL

The sun hides its face.
Silence reigns supreme.
The winds pick up their pace.
Palm trees shake their leaves.
The hotel stands deserted.
Flapping sounds fill the air.
Dark shadows join the fray.
I can see his icy stare.

NATURE’S THRALL

  1. A beautiful fall day.
    A path through the red.
    Charcoal steps leading up.
    An adventure for me.
    Until the day turns dark.
    The leaves lift off.
    Creating a red swirl.
    Around me in its haste.
    The wind cackles.
    The rain trickles.
    Night has come.
    The path is gone.
    And so is the day.

I look out at the sea so pure.
A vision of delight and more.
    Setting sun is coming down.
But there’s no reason to frown.
I could see the ocean floor.
Look at me I’m out the door.
The sun may be gone for the day.
The moon will soon be here to play.

  3. A fantasy come to life.
    Waves of purple and pink.
    Carpeting of green.
    Fragrance of heaven.
    A bench for dreaming.
The fantasy has come to me.

I STILL LOVE YOU

I’m over here.
I can smell your fear.
You won’t be alone.
I can hear your moan.

I’ll be rising soon.
On the next full moon.
We’ll rise from down under.
On lightning and thunder.

You will not recognize me.
I’ll be different you see.
My new body is strong.
Now do not get me wrong.

I still love you, my dear.
Of that please have no fear.

    I will come to you.
    Dressed in lace.
    Blue hair fluffed.

    Happiness is a treat.
    Happiness is a book.
    What is it for you?

I have a gift for you.
For you and no one else.
It comes in a black bottle.
    Elaborate script on the front.
    Please accept my gift.
    Close your eyes.
    And open your mouth.

WAVES RUSH IN

Source:

The waves rush in.
Looking for the shore.
Sand to sink into.
Feet to lash onto.
They seek the land.
Rocks to wear into.
Docks to rock and roll.
The waves rush in.
Let’s join in their play.

THE DEAD AND GONE

THE DEAD AND GONE

A town where the snow is black,
bringing coldness and fear.
Old remnants of tears held back,
and times too hard to bear.

Woven from black sheets of rain,
fear covers in disarray.
Anguished and frozen with pain,
dark petals fall in dismay.

Hell has come to Oasis,
The Dead and gone at its side.
Now hidden behind faces
that are well-known far and wide.

Who will fall prey to The Dead?
I hope it is not me.
I’m hiding under my bed.
I’m afraid as I can be.
