A COLD HELL

Blackness beckons.
Fingers grab for me.
Teeth rip at me.
Fish beside me.
Laughter rains down.
The Dead  below.
A cold hell for me.
I am lost.

DARE TO DREAM

DARE TO DREAM
When night comes softly
On feet as light as air,
I can see clearly
Of what I shouldn’t dare.
Alone on this hilltop
With the embracing cold,
Boundaries cannot stop
Me from being so bold.
I want to look at the night,
Gaze out into the unknown,
Dare to dream of my flight,
And dream of where I have flown.
Secrets hidden in darkness,
Beneath a cloak of despair.
Shadows roaming in blackness.
A striking and deadly pair.
At night I can roam free
And sail forth on gossamer wings.
Be all that I can be
No matter what the dark night brings.

DARK SHADOWS OF MY MIND

The nightmare of my mind.
Crammed with trees and dirt.
A deserted forest of the night.
No visitors or intruders.
Only death and silence.
Graves mark the spots
where life once stood.
Now all that’s left is
darkness and shadows.
Shadows drifting across
space and my mind.

SILENCE

Waves crashing.
Fins stalking.
Birds crying.
Sun glaring.
Head sinking.
Darkness approaching.
A soothing quiet.
A wet blackness.
A quiet void.
Beneath it all.

BANISH THE CLOUDS

BANISH THE CLOUDS

Hold clouds in your hand,
Banish them for good.
Allow the sun in,
Just the way it should.

Throw out evil thoughts,
Only light inside.
Open your closed heart
And walk free with pride.

A romp in the grass,
Where flowers grow wild.
Accept the sun's love,
Like your only child.

Stay away dark moon,
Night is for the sun.
Darkness held at bay,
As we dance for fun.

OUR GAMES HAVE JUST BEGUN --- THE DEAD GAME --- PART 52

To die alone is all I want,
To be free from the monster within.
Nature may have its tantrum,
But I refuse to yield to its master.

"Hell hath no fury like a women scorned,"
But hell has never met a woman scorned.
I will not surrender to the mighty winds,
Nor to the sleet and rain or even the snow.

I stand as strong and alone as the tree.
It has remained strong for generations,
Withstanding all the elements.
No one will take away our thunder.

The clouds dance around in their fury.
The rain falls as sharp pellets to the ground.
The winds whip around us in a rain dance.
But we stand strong against them all.

I can feel his presence.
I can feel his eyes watching me.
I will not be tempted or swayed
By his touch or his beauty.

Wolf alights upon the lone tree,
Lifting his head back to give a mighty roar.
I turn my face from his massive body,
I don't want to fall into his trance.

He leaps to the ground to stand before me
In all his beauty and shining glory.
All who see him succumb to his charms
And fall prey to his whims.

Not me.
I alone refuse to give in.
I love another who is kind and giving,
Who is not a monster but a man.

He crushes his body against mine.
He envelopes me with his fresh scent.
I'm cushioned by his muscular chest and arms.
It would so easy to give in to this man.

No! He isn't man but beast.
A vampire who plays games with human lives,
Who kills for the thrill of it.
I must fight to stay free.

Wolf holds me closer.
His lips move against mine.
I am losing myself to his touch.
Falling in thrall to his beauty.
