SADNESS FOLLOWS ME

Sadness follows me
wherever I go.
It haunts me
in all its forms.
There’s no escape
from its long arms.
I close my eyes
but feel its long shadow.

THE WEEPING WOMAN

The lights turn on in the room so dark.
We came here for a dare and a lark.
The rooms are deserted and cold.
Ghosts would be present we were told.

All we see are dust and deserted rooms.
No one has lived here in so many moons.
The quiet is unnerving and thick.
Time for us to leave this scene real quick.

Something doesn’t feel right.
We must turn and take flight.
Before the noise from above
Thinks we are her lost love.

The weeping woman is coming near.
She dances and chuckles at our fear.
The doors and windows are locking.
Our escape the ghost is blocking.

OUT OF THIS FOREST

Take me out of this forest,
Out of this tangled mess.
Away from my demons,
Who haunt me at night.
I can see the light ahead,
A beacon of light shining bright.
A view of sand and ocean,
And better times ahead.

THEY WALK THE NIGHTS

They never sleep.
They walk the nights.
Into your bedrooms.
Into your nightmares.
They haunt the hotel,
where the wealthy play.
They take from the best
to assuage their needs.
They never sleep.
They walk the nights.
They hide in their mansions
to come out at dark.
Dark shadows who roam
the streets of our town.
They never sleep.
They walk the nights.

A MYSTERY

The woods of Oasis wake up at night
Limousines travel to the hidden mansions.
Sounds of music and laughter fill the humid air.
Electronic gates open for the fancy guests.
Gowns and jewelry sparkle in the moonlight.
Will we ever be invited to one of these parties?
Where they dance until the morning light.
Who are these mysterious people?
Some people believe they are evil vampires.
 believe they are good vampires,
I don’t know if I believe either one.
But I do want to meet them.
Residents who party at night.
A good mystery.

GOODBYE TO ONE AND ALL

1 nFnLITTbo-ReW53f2UEktQ

Creepy, creepy, scary.

This can become hairy.

The house is haunted and dark.
I came on a simple lark.

But now that I’m here,

I’m frozen with fear.
A party is to be held for us all,
But to evil creatures we might just fall.
Down to the basement we go,

This is silly even I know.

Saws are swinging up ahead,

Looking to chop off a head.

Traps are falling from the low ceiling.

My wet feet are losing all feeling.

We are standing in a pool.

And I feel like a big fool.

We should have gone when we had a chance.
The creatures will make us sing and dance.

The Dead have a morbid sense of humor,

Should have listened to every rumor.

Goodbye to one and all.

I see the bouncing ball.

BEHIND DOOR NUMBER 3

BEHIND DOOR NUMBER 3

Down the stairs we go,
Down to the dark basement
of the deserted End House.
What happened here 5 years ago?
A freak storm is what had happened.
The innocent family living here
had disappeared into the raging waves
of the Atlantic Ocean.

Now we’re locked in the basement.
We’ve lived through the
swinging traps and circular saws.
No way for us but forward.
Three closed doors stand before us.
The horrors behind the first two doors
had almost killed us.
Door number 3 is waiting.
We walk in.
It’s dark.
Animals pace in cages,
behind metal bars.

The animals are moving forward,
free from their cages,
stalking them.
They must find the exit.

A door leads to steep stairs.
We make our way down,
flying creatures at our backs.
We stare at the sharp rocks below…

The game has only just begun.

STEP INSIDE

Come inside.
A palace awaits you.
It might appear deserted.
Run down and unused.
The inside tells
a different story.
Walk on marble floors
through rooms of delight.
Rooms of different eras.
Reflecting a dead man’s dreams.
A man with no life or future.
Waiting for the end of time.
In a house fit for a prince
or a prince of darkness.
