BLOOD RED

BLOOD RED
The wavering reflections of the red sky
mar the blue surface of the ocean.
The sun sets for the night,
hiding its face behind puffy clouds.
The sky reaches into its bag of tricks,
bringing out a yellow moon.
The water remains blood red
as the sky turns inky black.
A reflection from its depths
of the evil creatures rising.
Onto our crisp white shores they walk,
Leaving bloody footprints in the sand.

ICE HEAVEN

An ice heaven awaits.
Frozen statues in paradise.
Parties in the cold of night.
The Dead of night.
The Dead can’t feel the burn.
Their guests twirling among the frozen
Raise their glasses to The Dead and gone.
No melting until the sun shines bright
And The Dead hide their faces.
Take me away from here
Before I become one of them.
The night walkers who seek darkness
and revel in the cold night hours.

MOONLIGHT MADNESS

Moonlight to our shore.
There is so much more.
Shadows in the night.
Bringing me a fright.
The Dead are coming.
The ground is humming.
Dark shadows are growing.
I better be going.
They will be here soon.
Coming with the moon.
Shrieks fill the air.
Fingers in my hair.
Goodbye to one and all.
This night the town will fall.
