DRIFT ALONE

I drift alone.
On the sea of many colors.
A mirror to the pastel sky.
The moon peeking from above.
Jealous of my supreme peace.
As I drift along in my boat.
On the sea of many colors.

INVISIBLE PRESENCE

Waves drumming softly
on the soft shore.
Green and blue swirls,
creating a rich palette.
Dolphins skipping
along the shore line.
Nothing more perfect.
Nothing more serene.
But whose footsteps are those?
Footsteps appearing
on a deserted beach.
They are moving closer
with their invisible presence.
Can it be true?
Can this oasis be haunted?
Can I outrun them?

INVITING

Inviting.
Serene.
Peaceful.
Waves lapping.
Sun shining.
Tourists frolicking.
Palm trees waving.
Until the night.
Oasis changes.
Shadows move.
Bodies appears.
Wind cries.
The Dead party.
In the night.
All night.

A HAVEN NO MORE

patrickjoust Mamiya C330 S and Sekor 55mm f/4.5 Kodak Ektar 100

A peaceful town.
High-pitched chirping
Slices through the silence.
The town hall offers
Shelter from the storm.
Hail flies in the increasing winds.
Rooftops sail past them.
We run through the hall’s doors
On the wave of a tidal storm.
Darkness greets us.
Flapping sounds surround us.
Windows shatter.
Flying creatures stream in.
Human faces on furry bodies.
This night the town will fall.
