MY DAY BY THE SEA

A walk down the street.
Fragrances so sweet.
White cobblestones line the way.
Here is where I want to stay.

Away from the madding crowd.
A place where I can be proud
To call my new home.
I don’t need a phone.

All I need is a soft bed
To lay down my weary head.
Fishermen’s cries will wake me
To start my day by the sea.

AFTER THE RAIN

Source:

After The Rain
The streets will be sparkling clean.
The sun will shine.
Kids play ball.
Bicycles ride by.
Couples walk hand in hand.
The air sweet with laughter from
the diners at the sidewalk cafe.
A dog sleeps in the shadows.
A new day.
Sparkling clean.

HAVE A DRINK

Paradise awaits.
Enjoy a drink by the pool.
A swim in the ocean.
A walk on the beach.
Drink up and be merry.

Night is approaching.
And so are The Dead.
They walk the streets at night.
Drink from their victims.
And party until the morning light.

Is there no one to stop them?
What about The Watchers?
Vampire police who’ve lived for centuries.
They will fight The Dead.
Oasis will return from its darkness.

Long live Oasis, Florida.

DARK ARE THE STREETS

Altamura (Apulia, Italy) by Dauno Settantatre
Dark are the streets.
Along which they creep.
Silence is their goal.
Through town they go.
Bodies they leave behind.
Blood-dry they must die.
Church bells are tolling.
And heads are rolling.
Flee from this we must.
Before we are dust.

I SEE YOU

I see you.
Walking down the street.
Lurking behind closed doors.
I can smell death.
Decay.
Fear.
Behind closed doors.
Come and play.

PERFECT

Clean away the dirt.
Soon the sun will shine.
On sparkling clean streets.
Where kids will be playing.
Riding on bicycles.
Couples walking hand in hand.
Dinner at the sidewalk cafe.
A dog sleeping in the shadows.
Perfect.

BENEATH THE CITY

BENEATH THE CITY
Take me down the road.
All the way down.
Beneath the city.
To what lies below.
To the deepest depths.
Where no one dares to tread.
This is reality.
This is the city.
