LOST IN END HOUSE

LOST IN END HOUSE

blackoutraven:

Lost in End House

We've come for a party.
But no one is here to greet us.
The candles have led us to a door.
A door down to the basement.
A door that has locked behind us.
We're trapped.

Circular saws and pointy cages

are descending from the basement ceiling.
The floor is filling up with water.
Where are our friends?

Are they facing similar threats upstairs?

I can feel the cold wrapping around me.
The darkness is thick and heavy.
The water is reaching my knees.
Two of my friends have made it across.
Will I make it through the saws and cages?

AN OASIS TO HELL

Beauty marred by death.
An oasis scarred by evil and murder.
Oasis, Florida promises sunshine and beaches
but delivers death and destruction.
Do you still want to visit?
We’ll be waiting.

The Dead Game

ONLY THE DEAD KNOW

We might look human
but we’re not.
We might act human
but we love to kill.
Our fearless leader
shows no mercy.
Who is he?
Will he show his face?

Only The Dead know.

    THE DEAD GAME HAS BEGUN

Linda moves to a small town to live a quieter  life. She opens a bookstore and makes new friends. Life is simple–that is until the dead body washes up on shore. She is horrified to find out that dead bodies and disappearing tourists are common for this town. As soon as the sun sets, she and her friends are stalked by dark shadows. But this is only the beginning.

Linda and her group receive an unsigned invitation to a party at the deserted house at the edge of the forest. They are afraid of the unfriendly estate residents, who only venture out of their homes at night. They attend the party. They are pursued through revolving rooms and dangerous traps, barely escaping with their lives. Two of their own remain trapped in the house. Or so they think.

    The Dead Game has begun.

    THE DARK FOREST

    Come and visit.
Follow the line of trees.
Where do you think it leads?
Deep into a forest.
Down a dark road to a haunted house.
You will never know unless you start walking.
Ignore the moans and screams, it’s just the animals.
The howling are from a pack of wild dogs.
They like people very much.
It is safe to walk farther on.
Don’t look back, face forward, and walk.
Soon you’ll be reaching your destination.
Be prepared for anything.
Don’t be afraid.

Anything is a possibility.
    Come and visit us.
    Follow the line of trees.
    Where does it lead?
    Deep into a forest.
    Down a dark road.

    Ignore the moans and screams.
    They are just animals.
A pack of wild dogs are howling.
    They love people.
It is safe for you to walk into the forest.
    Don’t look back.

    Face forward and walk.
Soon you’ll be reaching your destination.
    Be prepared for anything.
    Don’t be afraid.

A party at the deserted End House
    is waiting for you.
    And so are The Dead.

    NOUNOUS--THE IMPATIENT MALTESE

My favorite picture of my Maltese, Nounous.
He is waiting for my daughter
to come home from New York City.
    The train whistles.
    He searches for the train.
He waits impatiently by the car window.
The train pulls into the station.
The doors pass by, one by one.
They are moving too fast for him
    to see his beloved friend.
    The train stops.
    The doors open.
    He sees her.
    He howls,
    pawing at the window.
    He is still not sure.
He's waiting for her to walk closer.
She stops beside the car window
    and shouts,"Nounous I'm home."
    He jumps up and down,
    woofing with joy.
    She is home.
